Evoked potentials

What does it consist of?

The evoked potential test consists of placing electrodes in various parts of the body to evaluate and analyze how the different brain areas react to a stimulus, with the main objective of detecting possible diseases related to the functioning of brain activity (neuronal connections). Next, the patient receives the different stimuli to obtain the corresponding evoked response.

Who is it for?

Evoked potentials make it possible to analyze how an asymptomatic pathology progresses or improves, or that causes non-specific symptoms in the patient. It is a very useful test to diagnose or determine the evolution of a wide range of pathologies, such as:
